Ethan has a Girlfriend!

Yes it's official at the young age of 3 & 1/2 years old Ethan has his first girlfriend. Ariel (AKA The Little Mermaid ) is destined to be our future daughter in law. Ethan immediately took to her during our last visit with the Foss family. He would hide under the table to play with her so no one would see him. He just loved looking at her and making her swim in the air. We do agree with him that Ariel is beautiful. Maybe their wedding can be at Disney World:)

Our Prince & Princess

When we went to visit the Foss family over the holidays Ethan & Mia were fascinated by Rachel & Lauren's princess things. BOTH of them enjoyed trying on the crowns! Ethan was so funny trying to place the crown on Mia's head. They really did become our prince & princess for the evening!

Parent Boot Camp 101

This past weekend we traveled down to visit Amy's sister Sarah in Indianapolis. Sarah & Scott don't have any children yet so this weekend they got their first glimpse at parenting. Friday night we took Ethan & Mia to see the new Veggie Tale movie " The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything". Sarah & Scott even came along to see it. We were a little nervous that Mia wouldn't sit through it, but she did quite well. When they were singing, she stood up and danced on Steve's lap. (Oh the Mrs. Fields cookies we snuck in also helped keep her quiet:) On Saturday we went to see the Doodlebops. We didn't tell Ethan where we were going, just that we had a surprise for him. When he walked into the theater and saw their sign he just stood their in amazement. He said that it was a good surprise. Mia also LOVED the show. I think she is going to be a dancer because she had some cool moves going on. Scott & Sarah even had their toes tapping and their hands clapping. They were troopers and went to all of the activities with us, sang along and even had good time. We just wish the Colts would have won their game Sunday! Oh well, maybe next year!

FFF-Ethan Shepherd Boy

These are pictures from the church program. Ethan was a shepherd boy. He was so adorable and gave us MANY laughs!!! Too bad our video didn't turn out because in his age group there are NO girls...just boys, six of them. They were BUSY shepherds!

Well the holidays are over and we are now getting ourselves back into our daily routines. From the Friday before Christmas to New Year's Day we celebrated Christmas seven different times. Put Steve's birthday in the middle of it all and Ethan' first performance in a' Christmas program and that was our holidays. It was so much fun, but exhausting!

This year we had so much to be thankful for during the holidays. Mia is home and we celebrated our first Christmas as a family of four. Watching Ethan & Mia experience Christmas really was magical. The look on Ethan's face when he came downstairs Christmas morning was priceless.

These are pictures from Amy's mom's side of the family. It was the first time they had seen Mia. They all fell in love with her and couldn't get over how social she was with everyone. Ethan opened more musical instruments...which he just LOVED and Mia opened up baby dolls. Mia was so excited she squealed when she saw them. Ethan put on a concert while Mia put EVERY baby doll in her stroller and gave them rides. Looking around the room at all of our family unwrapping gifts in a frenzy of wrapping paper made us realize how truly blessed we are!
