Happy Fat Tuesday!

Fried dough around the world. While Guatemala's fried dough comes in the form of a sopailla or churro, we celebrate the Polish fried dough today- the Paczki. (pronounced punch-key) Paczki Day is the feast of plenty before the Lenten fast begins. On this day the traditional deep fired pastries (something like jelly doughnuts) are enjoyed throughout the world. Although they aren't a very healthy food (each paczki typically is 500+ calories and has 17+ grams of fat) we hope everyone enjoyed at least one of these treats today! This is Ethan at 5 months old right after he came home. We thought he had a paczki in each cheek!
