Ethan's First Day of Preschool

Breakfast before school

Yeah! I get to go to school!

His favorite area of the classroom....the fish & hermit crabs

Digging in the beans

Mama..enough with the pictures!

Tuesday was Ethan's first day of preschool. Originally we weren't going to start him until the fall. We went to a few open houses and found one within walking distance. When we went to turn in the registration Ethan went right over to the kids in the class and joined in their activities. After seeing how well he fit in we asked if he could start now. They had a opening and Tuesday he started. He goes Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning. In the fall he will go three days a week. So far he seems to really enjoy it and we think starting him now will make the fall go that much better. It is so hard to believe that he is old enough to start preschool. Where does the time go??

Pa & his princess

Today we had a very low key Easter- just the way we like it. We got up and went to church and ate breakfast there. When we came home Ethan & Mia couldn't wait to start the egg hunt. But before we could start the hunt we had to take a few pictures. The Easter Bunny had left a note telling Ethan he had to find an egg that was a frog and Mia had to find an egg that was a duck. Their special eggs had a clue as to where their Easter baskets were. Well it took a little bit because two little kiddos we VERY distracted by the candy that was in the plastic eggs. Once the baskets were found the kids enjoyed playing with their goodies for the rest of the morning. Grammy, Pa & Meme joined us for a late lunch. Ethan couldn't make it through lunch before he pooped out. But Mia ate a great lunch and even enjoyed some carrot cake. Even with 10 inches of snow on the ground we had a wonderful day celebrating that Jesus is alive today and will be forever. Hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Coloring Eggs

This year was the first year we really got into coloring eggs. In the past Ethan showed little to no interest in coloring eggs. When we brought out the kit last Saturday, Ethan was fascinated with the entire process. He put the eggs in the pot, made the dyes, and colored the eggs. In fact he loved it so much that he asked to color more eggs everyday this week. That would be great except eggs aren't Mommy or Daddy's favorite foods. Mia does like them though. So last night we had Kendal & Ethan color the last batch of eggs. They look beautiful!....cracks and all (Ethan was a bit rough with them) Wishing everyone a blessed and happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny is Coming in a Sleigh

Well the weather people have done it again. We were supposed to get a "dusting" of snow tonight. WRONG!!! By the time the snow stops on Saturday we will have between 4-10" for the Easter Bunny to hop through. Maybe he call Santa and borrow the sleigh! Looks like the egg hunt will have to be inside this year!

Easter Pictures Gone Bad!

What can I say??? I think the pictures speak for themselves. Ethan was CHAMP and wanted to get his picture taken. Mia, was NOT having ANYTHING to do with it. I took them last Friday without Steve and learned my lesson...Daddy NEEDS to be there for pictures! I also learned that I am NOT going to have a picture taken of the two of them together until this summer...let's just say the whole experience was not a kodak moment! Oh well there is always next time!
